Mees Elias van Zanten and Lucas Braak, both trans, noticed how difficult it is to talk about the desire to have a dick as a trans person. In the current political climate, where masculinity is increasingly problematised, the desire for a male body as a left-wing advocate seems almost taboo in itself. Is there still room to feel this desire? How do you deal with it? Does the masculinity debate deserve more nuance? Through audiovisual work, text and sculpture, the artists explore these questions.
