We will not be missed is a dystopian audiovisual performance about the emotional impact of the looming climate catastrophe and the collapse of future dreams. Inspired by Tarkovsky's Stalker, Marijn translates feelings of failure and exhaustion into lyrical form through video, choreography and electronic music.
The atmosphere draws on the tension and energy of the nightclub – as a space of both resistance and refuge. This isn't an easy performance. It's confronting, raw and honest. Marijn forces you to feel what we'd rather ignore: the fear, the despair, but also the strength we find in collective spaces. The nightclub as the last bastion of resistance.
