Sudanese activist powerhouse serving intersectional punk

Maha is a Sudanese multi-disciplinary artist, zine publisher, musician and model based in the Netherlands. In recent years, she reinvented herself as a punk artist and founder of Mahazine, a self-published DIY zine that carves out space for activism, stories from the diaspora, and intersectionality. Maha’s mission is to use her creativity as a tool of resistance against oppression, prejudice and labels, – and a celebration of self-expression and community.
