Working with sound reflects my desire to be faced with highly subjective, confrontational, and immersive forms of reality. In my practice, I scrutinize the human body as a material object in order to dissect social constructions, as I wish to grasp their absurdity and humor. Death and nothingness form the underlying motives of my work. Alongside my individual practice, I work as a collective with my brother Manuel Groothuysen.</span></div>
